Larry
Yep
Targa Tasmania starts here on Monday and on Tuesday (ANZAC Day) the only event for the day is a timed sprint around the streets of Georgetown starting after lunch
They leave the morning clear so ANZAC services can go ahead uninterupted. There's a dawn service followed by a breakfast and another more general service at 1100
We've got a guy staying for a few weeks that has just come back from a second stint as a dog handler in Afghanistan
He's a bit of a mixed up mess so am planning to take him to Georgetown and do the early service then go and watch the racing--hoping it will be a good day out for him
Some of the stuff he's been coming out with in the middle of the night stands the old hairs on end and he's planning on going again
I've been trying to tell him he's done enough but he's digging in--

Cheers mate

At the expense of futher being offensive for what i still dont know

Becarful with this guy, ifeel for him i really do, but you said it your self, the hairw on the back of your neck...ive parted ways with a very close friend that phyisacally came back okay but he hasnt adjusted well and we still suffer 25 sucides per day evwry day in the usa from these guys that cant let go

The american sniper and his best friend lost there lives doing exactly what you hope to accomplish this next weekend

Im not saying dont help the guy, but just be clear on what your objdctive is and why your doing it and remember who your with

Ptsd is not curwd in 2 hours over a xouple of beers and a good talk

Another reason why bush should be hanged for war crimes...slashing health care budget of vets and playing games of ptsd is just is a joke of the week minded instead of increasing rhe funding to meet the high demand

Thank god for 8 years of obama that stood up for our war heros with funding

You are right that the effects of war don't always heal easily. I can still see the empty
revetment where a friend took off for a mission over Laos and ended up in a smoking hole, thanks to LBJ. That was 47 years ago. Bush didn't invent the unnecessary war, he just followed the example of Kennedy who started the Vietnam war and Johnson who expanded it. As for the VA under Obama, The management has gotten steadily worse. We have a hospital under construction in Colorado that is one billion dollars over budget and two years late and still not finished. The fake appointment list scandal attracted attention for a little while, but once attention went to something else, the problem returned. It still takes up to two months to see a specialist like a cardiologist. Trump will have to work hard to be worse for veterans than our past leader. I consider the need for charities like wounded warrior as proof that the federal government is still doing a lousy job taking care of my fellow veterans.

Steven,

The one glaring flaw in that news story is that its NOT NK thats devoloping there nuclear Ar*enal....that would be china doing that for NK to give apperance that NK is actually the smartest nation in the history of all mankind

Sorry ... but there is no way some 3rd world piss hole that cant even perfect growing corn to feed its people due to its closed off controlled socity is suddenly making huge stides in discovering nuke tech that has taken a combined international effort of 80 years to decolop what the nuke weopans scientist have devoloped up to this point

Sorry ... but NO the NK with there closed socity and no outside interferance and only limited education to that of inner city high school quality... devoloped all there nuke tech plus the tooling and materials needed to have nukes at this advanced level in ONLY 15 years

NOT !!!

Nk nukes are solely because china want NK to have nukes

If Austriala is now being threatened by NK, then austriala need to threaten the puppet master china not the toy puppet NK

Think of it as a dog owner with a puppy walking down the street and the puppy barks at you... how you handle that situation is exactly how you handle china the (dog owner) with NK (the barking aggresive puppy)

Japan says they will join the u.s. Armada with their ships

North Korea on Saturday Britain's Australia if they side with the USA

Trump threatening preemptive nuclear strike and according to Nikki Haley Trump will definitely use nukes if he has to attack as of this morning on ABC News

Little dick saying he will definitely use nukes if he's attacked

little dick saying he will definitely take out the Carl Vincent with a nuke

some idiot retard from the USA decided to trespass into North Korea and got arrested

tomorrow is a huge holiday in North Korea or they always set off either a missile or a nuke test

Trump says if they do set off a nuke or a missile he will fire upon them

30000 u.s. troops on the DMZ

20 million people in Seoul South Korea

10 million people in Pongya North Korea

North Korea can easily hit Japan with there current weapons

and all the z nuclear weapons of today's world easily dwarf was detonated in the forties

Prop, it doesn't matter who sets off a nuke first. Someone will retaliate the same way. So very few of us will be left alive and any so-called "society" that survives will soon be back to the caveman days of stone tools.

The really lucky ones will be those who buy the farm in the initial strikes. The rest will curse the day they were born as they slowly die from burns and radiation poisoning while the mad men who started all of this crap will be safe underground in their bomb proof shelters, stored food for years living comfortably while we, the people, who don't care one way or the other about North Korea, China or any other piss ant nation will die horrible deaths.

This is not a pissing competition but the politicians seem to think it is. There will be no winners from an all out nuclear war, just losers.

IF they actually do do it, I hope those who could have listened to reason all rot in Hell.

I dont see the initial attack as being world wide, as in M.A.D.

I have to belive if it goes nucular it will be limited in scope to only NC and who ever NK decided to light up,

Im sure all the nuke powers have made Secret hand shakes and backroom deals to not kill off the planet

That said...i dont see how this gets walked back, and if there is an exchange of nukes between usa and nk.... we are still looking at 100 million dead over the next 365 day

And china becoming the new alpha nation and worlds cop like when the USA took over from great britian...and they control the currancy

Guys beyound that...i dont know...unless trump or kim blink and swarves off the road...i dont see how this is avoidable

There has to be some intervening force

Radiation and nuclear fallout know no borders. With so many countries taking sides, all out war is a reality.

Just pull out the USS Carl Vinson battle fleet away from North Korea and tell them if they screw with the USA, they'll get their asses kicked and promise the USA will not do anything unless screwed with.

Think of the old US battle flag with the snake and the statement, "Don't tread on me."

Problem is, both of these leaders, Trump and Il Ding Dong or whatever his name is, need to pull their heads out of their butts and have their heads examined. The world is not a video game with a reset button.

If these world leaders had any common sense, they would all scrap the nuclear weapons but no, someone has to have a bigger stick than the next guy.

Back in 1914, a fellow named Princip shot Arch Duke Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo. By the end of the year, total war spread and involved the great powers of the time. The slaughter was horrific after 4 years of fighting.

The screws were put to Japan in 1940/41 and they retaliated. True, they thought they'd strike first and the USA would negotiate a peace but they under estimated the USA. Look what it cost them.

The same thing can happen this time only the needless slaughter will make the "Great War" and WW II seem like a picnic.

If either side use a nuclear device, you think the other will just sit by and not retaliate in a like way?

I think we are on the verge of Armageddon here and we will lose control. We will lose control and we will be lucky to live through it. Living may not be so lucky after all in the end.

I still remember my RAF nuclear training, I will impart this valuable information to help you all, it goes like this::" When you see the flash, close your eyes, drop to the ground with your feet to the blast, count up to 15, and then get up and run like hell".

There, that should make you all feel better.

Today i was practicing my kindergarten and 1st grade nucular training as well

Find a study wooden desk, once you see the blast, close your eyes crawl under the wooden desk with your ass up, and your head down and between your knees. (Pure survivability)

So... with those 2 government funded scenario training objectives... everyone will be able to survive and enjoy skiing in the new extended winter to come

Odd... close your eyes when you see the blast seems to be a common denominator in nucular survival

Yes... im aware of that incedent, but that not how a nukes can be detonated. Call it FAKE NEWS.... the incident happened but out side off a couple hundred yards ... not a problem

Its impossiable to detonate a nuke by piercing it,dropping it,burning it or even with a fuse... any thing like that you make have a radiation leak maybe even the equivalent of a dirty bomb if you breach the storage area of rhe fission material and even all the issues rrelated to a rocket fuel explosion...but thats minor compared to what one of these things are capeable of when properly detonated as intended

A fire cracker explodeds outwordly by use of expanding gases pushing agianst a barrier that has a set fail specification...once the fast moving expanding burning gases hit a certian psi that the wall its pushing agianst hits its fail point...boom, you have an explosion

A nuke is bsaically opposite, it exploded or rather Implodeds inward and compresses the fission material to an extremely focased finate point that the state of the fission material becomes over heated and melts/ vaporises / liquifies...something like that. Its physical state of being is changed and it its during that state of change that the fission material becomes volitile and the burn rate of that chemical properties is ungodly excessive ( example burn 1 ounce of news paper vs 1 ounce of magnesium and you have differance of 200 degreesF vs 5000 degreesF

To make the inward implosion you need a spear with lits of evenly placed directional shaped explosive chatges covering the sphere aiming at the fission material inside the sphear, the trick is...timing, you have to set off all the inward facing explosions at the exact same time...i meant THE EXACT SAME TIME AND THEY ALL MUST BE THE EXACT SAME INTENSITY so that the blast hitting the fission material is able to compress the fission material evenly all the way down to the point where the fission changes its state from a sloid to a gas and creates an unstable break down of the fission material

Any mis timing of the inward implosion or weak /over intisified implosion strength by any of the intial explosion caps and its just a big fart... nothing happens other then 999 imward implosions happened and 1 failed leaving a path for all that pressure to escape and not allowing the fission material to properly compress on its self to create the heat nessary to liquify its self and create the chemical proprty change to take place that allows the fission material to become UNstableized making a muchroom cloud of extremely heated gases equal to that of the sun

And that why its incredable complex to make a nuke detonation... exact timing and the even intensity of the 1000 minture implosions a little more involved then setting up the timing on a points and condenser on a lucas D25 diatrubuter ... same concept just a little more exact standards...haha

Ps ... please scrap the gasoline vs diesel engine reference analogy

What i mean by changing the pysical state of a matter, or chemical, or a substance ect ect

There are 3 states
Solid liquid and gas

If you take water...thats a liquid, freeze it you have a solid, over heat it you have steam a gas

If you heat it up radically and contain the water in a cly keepjng it from changong state into a steam gas, once the cly walls hits its max psi failure rate the water breaks thur the cly walls and as its escaping it turns into steam that change or conversion of potentially stored energy is converted energy... which creates or rather converted into using energy aka kentic energy causing a fast moving expandable moving gas

And thats why boilers on steam trains would blow up from time to time when there was a malfuntion in the boiler

I for one like the current sunlight we have very much just as it is thank you.

Both of these "world leaders" are acting like spoiled school boys and need to be brought to reason and very soon. Their staff are afraid to disagree with them for the fear of being fired or shot. The penalty is different in each regime but the result is the same. You cease to be anything. Hitler's generals didn't disagree with him either and he lost the war when he might easily have won had he listened to them.

This is a very, very frightening time we are living in. The bombs are far bigger than the firecrackers the US dropped on Japan. WW II was the last "good and just" war.

2 world leaders both who are out of their minds in my opinion and in definite need of psychiatric assessments willing to destroy the world rather than have a bruised ego. Incredible and so stupid.

Even if one or the other technically "wins" there won't be anything left alive on this incinerated piece of rock. Not like we all have some other place to go and leave these two to sort each other out.

Maybe I am being too over the top and dramatic here but all I can hope for is my death be quick and merciful. The rest I will leave to my faith and I commend my spirit to my deity.

Speaking of sunlight
Around November-January here we live under a hole in the ozone layer and it's a bit of a semi dangerous situation
Sunburn is easy to find and skin cancers are a real problem
If, --and we know it is--the resulting damage from a nuclear incident is worse than this by millions of percent, well I think dropping to your knees and then running won't help---we're stuffed
Why South k and Trump need to have what can only be called war practice right next to the NK border is mind boggling, Do it somewhere else if it has to happen
It's all making a nasty big mess out of something (serious as it is ) that needed to be resolved peacefully by discussion or sanctions if needed
Australia is in a very difficult position-
While we have and probably always will supported USA this situation has dragged Aust, right into this at a time when the South China sea situation with China was/is a problem but now need China to speak up against NK--and I can't really see that happening
So where from here-
Friend of him and him and him but not him and want him to growl at him to put his gun away so the other him won't shoot him to stop him shooting at him and him

Got to agree Willy. Ding Dong or whatever his name is, is like an angry dog. You don't tease it unless you want to be bitten.

Conduct your joint military exercises, ok, but not in North Korea's front yard, do it elsewhere. Don't worry, what with CNN and all these news feeds around the world, Ding Dong will still see what the US has but at a safe distance.

Thing is, Ding Dong has always gotten his way in his country and is not used to being told what to do. Trump is so gung ho pro-American, he does not want his pride ruffled and add them up and you have a dangerous situation.

A game of international chicken with potentially deadly consequences.

If the average man-on-the-street can see the inherent dangers here, why can't Trump and Ding Dong or their advisors?

These kids were great, and looked just like any kids you would like to meet but their every other thought was that they were performing for the dear leader. They were totally brain washed.

Assuming the 2 blow ups aren't intentional! Maybe the test parameters are all achieved and recorded in those first few seconds. Aborting at that stage conceals the capability, raises greater uncertainty and enables Kim to maintain face with his people and demonstrate that he won't back down in the face of UN (or Trump) sanctions and demands.
